MUSLYUMOVO/RUSSIA - Wafir Gusmanov worked as a tractor driver at the moment of the explosion in Mayak and took part in the cleaning up operation of the Techa River sediments. He fell ill with a complex of diseases that bent his bones and crippled him. Wafir died of his diseases in 2002.
